Graduate Assistant Minimum Salaries
Effective 8.16.09
Graduate Assistants United (GAU) and UF have successfully concluded negotiations. This agreement is subject to ratification between both the GAU membership and the University Board of Trustees at the September meeting.
The new minimum salary effective 8/16/09 is $9,500 at .50 FTE for a 9-month appointment and $12,715.40 at .50 FTE for a 12-month appointment.
Graduate Assistants hired August 16, 2009, or after must receive the new minimum salary. New Graduate Assistants that have already been approved for hire will have their salary adjusted by the Academic Personnel Office and each college/unit will be notified of the adjustment. Continuing Graduate Assistants who are not at the new minimum salary will have their salary adjusted by the Academic Personnel Office and each college/unit will be notified of the adjustment.
