HRS Building

Directions from the UF Campus: Head east on University Avenue. Go over NW 13 Street. The new building is a few blocks down on the right - 903 West University Avenue.

Directions from the Gainesville Airport: Exit airport and turn right (west) on NE 39th Ave. (State Rd. 222). Go 0.8 miles and turn left on Waldo Rd. (State Rd. 24). Go south on Waldo Road to University Avenue, and make a right (west) onto University Avenue. The HRS building will be on your left a few miles down - 903 West University Avenue.

Directions from Tallahassee: Take I-10 heading east towards Lake City until it meets I-75. Take I-75 to exit 387, Newberry Road. When you get off of the ramp, go east for five miles. Newberry Road will become University Avenue. Continue traveling east on University Ave, crossing over NW 13 Street. The HRS building is a few blocks down on the right - 903 West University Avenue.

Directions from Orlando: Take the Florida Turnpike until it merges with I-75. Take I-75 to exit 387, Newberry Road. When you get off of the ramp, go east for five miles. Newberry Road will become University Avenue. Continue traveling east on University Ave, crossing over NW 13 Street. The HRS building is a few blocks down on the right - 903 West University Avenue.

Directions from Jacksonville: Take I-10 only as far as US 301 (it will be one of the early exits) at Baldwin. Head south on 301 to Waldo. At Waldo, take a right onto SR 24 to Gainesville (has big sign for Gainesville). Follow SR 24 (Waldo Rd.) south to University Avenue, and make a right (west) onto University Avenue. The HRS building will be on your left a few miles down - 903 West University Avenue.

Directions from Tampa: Take I-275 North until it merges with I-75. Take I-75 to exit 387, Newberry Road. When you get off of the ramp, go east for five miles. Newberry Road will become University Avenue. Continue traveling east on University Ave, crossing over NW 13 Street. The HRS building is a few blocks down on the right - 903 West University Avenue.

Bus
In addition, RTS bus route 5 has a stop at the new HRS building. Route 5 runs every 20 minutes and can take you to and from points on University Avenue. Faculty and staff members with a Gator1 ID can ride for free.

Walking
Located 3.5 blocks from the intersection of University Avenue and NW 13 Street, the new HRS building is convenient to walk to from Tigert Hall and other areas on the east side of the main UF campus.

Elmore Hall is on Radio Road off of SW 34th Street, near the UF Physical Plant Division and Mailing Services.

Emerson Hall

Emerson Hall is located across University Avenue from Stadium West.

From I-75 (SR 24/Archer Road) East on Archer Road for 2.6 miles to North-South Drive; turn left on North-South Drive for 1 mile; O'Connell Center parking is on the left.

From SR 24 (Waldo Road) South on SR 24 to University Avenue (SR 26); right on University Avenue for 1.9 miles to North-South Drive; turn left on North South Drive for .1 miles; O'Connell Center parking is on the right.

From US 441 (13th Street) Go west on University Avenue (SR 26) for .2 miles to North-South Drive; turn left on North-South Drive for .1 miles. O'Connell Center parking is on the right.

Parking: Parking is extremely limited on the University of Florida campus during the average business day. From 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., a parking permit is required for all campus parking except metered lots. The parking meters west of the stadium have a 40-minute maximum. These meters are strictly enforced Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.

J. Wayne Reitz Union

The Visitor Welcome Center and Bookstore parking garage is located at the Reitz Union at the corner of Museum Road and Reitz Union Drive. Visitors can park in the garage for $5/day. Orange decal parking is available across the street from (to the south of) the bookstore along with spaces for State of Florida vehicles.

UF Brain Institute

From I-75 (SR 24/Archer Road) East on Archer Road for 3.0 miles to Newell Drive; turn left on Newell Drive for .1 miles. The UF Brain Institute is directly ahead; parking is in the garage on the right.

From SR 24 (Waldo Road) South on SR 24 to University Avenue (SR 26); right on University Avenue for 1.7 miles to US 441 (13th Street); turn left on US 441 for .6 miles to Archer Road; turn right on Archer Road to first light (Newell Drive); turn right on Newell Drive for .1 miles; The UF Brain Institute is directly ahead, parking is in the garage on the right.

From US 441 (13th Street) Go west on Archer Road (SR 24) to first light, turn right on Newell Drive for .1 miles; The UF Brain Institute is directly ahead, parking is in the garage on the right.

Parking: Parking is extremely limited on the University of Florida campus during the average business day. Parking for the Brain Institute is in the pay garage on Newell Drive. Parking is $3.00 per day and assigned to off campus visitors. If for any reason you receive a ticket for parking in the garage while attending our training classes, please call Training and Organizational Development at 392-4626. Please note that visitor permits are not valid for the parking garage.

UF Welcome Center

The UF Welcome Center is located within the University Bookstore, adjacent to the Reitz Union on Museum Road. You can contact the Welcome Center at 352-392-2959.

UF Bridges: East Campus (Dodge Island Computer Lab)

UF Bridges is located at UF's East Campus on Waldo Road 1.5 miles north of University Avenue. See map for details. The street address is:

**Beginning June 30, training participants should park in a designated temporary parking area due to construction on the UF Eastside Campus. See the map to identify the area to be fenced for construction and designated parking area. Additional parking is available on the northwest side of campus and can be accessed from 23rd Avenue. There will be a walkway along the northern fence line from the northwest parking area to the office building.

Directions from the Main University Campus: Head East on University Ave. Turn left on Waldo road. Go north past 16th Ave. East Campus is located on the west side of the road, just south of 23rd Ave.

Building 596 - Used for RAD training offered by UPD

Building 596 is known as the Jennings Hall Office. Here, you'll find the training room for the RAD course. Building 596 is located on Museum Road between SW 13 Street and Newell Drive.

Bus Information

Route 5 runs every 20 minutes and can take you to and from points on University Ave. to the Downtown Depot, a block from Union Street Station.

Campus Bus Service:
The North/South Circulator bus stops in front of the Hub, Turlington, the Brain Institute, and may other places every 15 minutes on weekdays until 5:30 PM, and every 30 minutes afterwards. The buses are air-conditioned and there's no charge for UF students & employees. Carry your Gator-One ID card in case you are asked for it.

UF Campus Cab Service

This free service offered by PPD to faculty and staff provides point-to-point transportation on UF's main campus and to UF facilities in Alachua county. The taxi will pick up and deliver riders to the front door of their designated building. This service is for official business only.
