Coming soon: A new UF hiring experience
UF Recruitment and Staffing is pleased to announce a new hiring experience coming in February that will include:
- An upgrade to GatorJobs, the UF applicant tracking system
- The implementation of GatorStart, an online onboarding system
- The creation of GatorResources, a new online resource for employees
Online training is now available for GatorJobs and GatorStart. Employees with current GatorJobs or ePAF security roles will be required to complete online training by March 5, 2012 in order to retain access to the systems. For further details, please visit UF Training and Organizational Development’s course catalog. And look for more information in our February issue.
Costs of OPS criminal background checks now covered
In March 2011, the University of Florida implemented a formal policy that requires criminal background checks on all new TEAMS and salaried faculty hires, the costs of which were covered by UF’s Office of Human Resource Services (HRS). Criminal background checks conducted on employees that are not covered by the policy, such as student or OPS hires, were paid by the hiring department. However, beginning March 1, 2012—in an effort to support the continuous effort in maintaining and fostering safety and security of students, faculty, and staff at UF—HRS will pay for all criminal background checks for all hires, including internal promotions and internal transfers.
