Healthy Gators award recognizes contributions to health and well-being
Nominations accepted January 23 to February 11
Do you know a UF faculty or staff member or student who made a remarkable health-related lifestyle change or led a program that greatly influenced the well-being of the UF community in 2011? Nominate him or her for the Healthy Gators Recognition Award.
Entries will be judged based on:
- Uniqueness of the achievement
- Level of effort required
- Commitment to sustaining the accomplishment
- Significance of personal change or impact on others, the UF community or the UF campus
Now in its second year, the award recognizes efforts whose impact extends beyond physical wellness to areas such as environmental, emotional, spiritual or social wellness. The Healthy Gators Coalition, which administers the award, encourages nominations from departments and groups across UF.
“I look forward to hearing interesting, one-of-a-kind stories about how people created healthy balance in their lives or the lives of others,” said Jane Emmerée, Ph.D., chair of the Healthy Gators programming workgroup.
Nominations open January 23 and end February 11. Winners will be announced April 9.
To nominate someone or learn more about the award, visit the Healthy Gators web site or call (352) 273-4450.
