Graduate Assistants Collective Bargaining Update

The University and the Graduate Assistants United (GAU) have agreed to a
wage re-opener for the 2015-16 year. The agreement provides for a $430
per person general raise, and another $50 raise to provide for some
mandatory fee relief. The combination is equivalent to a 2.5% raise, and is
effective January 1, 2016.

The GAU ratified the agreement earlier this week and the Board of Trustees
ratified it December 17. The GAU represents approximately 4000 graduate assistants.
