“Everyone knows him by name and enjoys speaking with him because of his friendly and personable nature. Whether it’s an Associate Dean, a department chair, or anyone else, Robert engages with everyone and makes Weil Hall a warmer, more welcoming place. It’s a refreshing break from work to walk through the hallways and chat with Robert about an upcoming game or weekend plans. He’s not just a custodial worker—he’s our friend.”

“Robert takes immense pride in his work as a custodian, regularly going above and beyond his assigned duties. His willingness to take on additional tasks, such as sweeping the front of the building without being asked, exemplifies his commitment to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for everyone. These extra efforts, though outside the scope of his responsibilities, highlight his proactive nature and genuine care for the well-being of the college community.”

“Tara’s contributions extend beyond her formal responsibilities; she embodies a level of professionalism and dedication that is truly commendable. her proactive problem-solving skills, combined with her ability to work collaboratively across various departments, have made her a key player in our health and safety initiatives.”

“Ms. Hetsler is an effective communicator, always offering help and support in a cheerful and professional manner. She has helped me by interfacing with the various departments across the State of Florida and establishing processes so that the Occupational Medicine clinician continue its role in getting employees cleared for University employment.”

“First, his positivity. Second, his work ethic. Third, quality of work. First, positivity. When we are short of staff Rodney immediately volunteers you almost must decline his request to work to ensure proper work life balance. When you see Rodney, you see a smile as wide as east is from west he is known for his cheerful outlook and his smile which resonates with our students. This positive approach is very much Rodney’s approach. He is an essential part of the Housing team and her positivity shines on all of us and improves the days of everyone him meets.”

“Rodney has been with the department of Housing since 1981,so he has a wealth of knowledge and people skills that are unmatched. In my current supervisory role, Rodney is still one of the people that I can always count on to do whatever is needed. In addition, heal ways fills in for his co-workers who are out on leave, he volunteers to work weekends and over time when needed”

“Shawndrea takes pride in her work and has gone over and above the call of duty. She has been intentional when building camaraderie among her team so they can tackle the challenges of the day together. She has supported other areas when they have been short of staff so that all residents have a good experience living on campus.”

“Shawndrea takes time to get to the root of all issues. When you place organizational objectives in front of her there is not anything she cannot accomplish. When Shawndrea needs to communicate with others, she takes the time to get to know staff and will often meet staff where they are. She continues to embody our mission statement by helping others to learn, innovate and succeed. She strives each day to leave an impression, whether she is collaborating with her co-workers or staff.”

“Mac was hired years ago as a project manager and he naturally has added value to the Division in ways often overlooked. For example his leadership style is to listen first before responding/reacting to situations at hand. By doing this, he is seamless at facilitating conversations, with ease and joy, even when under heavy pressure. He communicates honestly, confidently and clearly making it easy for others to understand where he is coming from and what actions are needed to move a project forward.”

“The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences spends multi-million dollars each year on minor and major projects. Mac shows leadership in our meetings to discuss the scope of the project and the time-line of the project. He eases the way and bridges discussions between us as laymen, with contractors, architects, and engineers who are the experts. His professional manner is greatly appreciated, and I know that the contractors he works with on our behalf respect him.”

“Outstanding service to students, staff, academic personnel, visitors, and university clientele. In addition to her work performance, Ms. Ivey is an invaluable resource on our campus to residents, program directors, and program staff. Her knowledge of various processes related to resident onboarding, including very complex issues related to hiring requirements, is unmatched, and she is a recognized expert on helping others navigate the myriad of rules and regulations of the resident and fellow matching programs.”

“I am recommending Megan Johnson for the Superior Accomplishment Award. She serves in a leadership role as the Clinic Manager of the UF Health Family Medicine at Main Street Clinic within the Department of Community and Family Medicine. I have served as the Medical Director of this clinic since 2016and worked very closely with Megan last year, and thus, feel very qualified to comment on her performance. This clinic serves a challenging, underserved patient population that is disadvantaged by socioeconomic status, poor health literacy, and sometimes distrust of the medical system. Despite these challenges, Megan has helped this patient population and clinic to flourish. UF Health Family Medicine at MainStreet Clinic’s patient care quality outcomes have met or exceeded national benchmarks to exceed 75th percentile in most outcome measures, including improving influenza vaccination rates, which was a direct result of a new workflow process she put into place with the nursing staff using green cards.”

“Audrey designed a comprehensive 4-year study involving 200 trees in my research grove. She carefully selected the factors to be measured, supervised the laboratory technicians and farm staff, and coordinated the collection of leaves, soil, and other qualitative data—often under difficult weather conditions of extreme heat. Over the course of several data collection sessions, Audrey’s professionalism and reliability were evident. Her communication with the staff at my research center has always been timely, detailed and clear, leaving no room for confusion. She excelled in scheduling, providing updates, and sharing analyzed data in an organized and efficient manner.”

“Taken together, he personifies what I believe are the critical skills that make for an inspirational and effective leader. During my 16-year tenure at UF, 8 years of service at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and 6-year training at NY Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell, I have never seen a clinic manager that even comes close to Mr. Branham, who has had the diplomacy, affability and savvy to work with both staff that serve below him as well as senior leaders above him with such effectiveness.”

“Mr. Brahmam embodies the servant leadership style which he proudly shared to be his preferred practice style during his interview, and his daily clinic interactions are a true testament to this. He performs daily walk-throughs at the clinic to check in on everyone, is patient, levelheaded, a good listener and advisor. He consistently provides constructive criticism, encouragement, feedback, highlights and recognizes staff accomplishments. He also always makes sure everyone has input and returns with thoughtful and inclusive resolutions. He has an open-door policy and makes himself available to all. His overall approach to leadership, his honesty, friendly and considerate nature are qualities that make him a natural leader.”

“In her role, Ritzy has demonstrated extraordinary commitment and an unparalleled level of empathy in addressing the mental health needs of our law students, who often face high levels of stress and anxiety. Her contributions extend far beyond the traditional boundaries of her position, as she consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that each student receives personalized and effective care.”

“Ritzy Ettinger’s duties as the Mental Health Counselor include addressing law student wellness issues during orientation and the academic year. The wellness issues involve coping effectively with stress and anxiety, psychoeducational information on how law school can impact mental health/substance use and an overview of mental health services available to law school students. She also creates best practices for detecting and assisting students experiencing psychological distress and initiates and develops on-going liaison relationship with other university departments, community, health providers, services, hospitals and other resources. Ritzy provides and coordinates training to faculty and staff related to student mental health and substance use disorders.”

“Whitney is a beacon of light for persons with disabilities, who are severely underserved in terms of oral healthcare in our state and nationally. She is a role model for other dental professionals in terms of her expertise and dedication to serving those with disabilities, working at numerous levels, including direct care, consultation with fellow dental professionals, engaging with foundations to ensure that the focus of their gifts are being fulfilled, and promoting training on providing dental care to persons with disabilities, among many others.”

“Throughout our acquaintance and updates I receive on her work, Whitney has consistently demonstrated unwavering integrity, honesty, and moral character. She is a person of high principles and always strives to do what is right, even in challenging situations, of which there are many, when dealing with dental care of the special needs population. Her ethical conduct and strong moral compass serve as a commendable example to others.”

“She brought a tremendous depth of knowledge and experience that was invaluable, and an attitude and approach that kept us positive and enthusiastic. In addition to constantly working on improving protocols and methodology to make things run more efficiently to provide both better patient care and easier workability for our small animal clinicians and staff, she provided invaluable help on similar efforts for our equine hospital. Without prompting, she recognized some areas that we might benefit from using some tools available on our medical records system that I have been working with for years. We have implemented some of these and I can say some have been life-changing.”

“Several faculty veterinarians have stated that Megan is the best practice manager they have ever worked with. She has onboarded a completely new staff, overseen amazing growth of the hospital– to the point that we have expanded from 4 to 5doctorswithin two years of opening–and has a perpetually positive outlook. She has done all of this while we have been short other leaders for substantial periods of time and has continued to just make everything work. It’s hard to succinctly summarize Meghan’s awesomeness in one letter, though she has truly been our MVP over the last year and I could not think of a more deserving recipient.”

“Crystal has grown exponentially in this position and her willingness to learn has enabled her effectively strategize while being flexible and creative in managing the clinic. She is and continues to be an asset to both the Radiology Department and OMDS as a whole.”

“I have personally witnessed her tremendous growth as clinic supervisor where she takes full responsibility for our radiology clinic and demonstrates great independent thinking. She is proactive, a good communicator and is always focused on how to make processes or experiences for our patients and students better. For instance, when patients with disabilities visit our clinic and we are unable to obtain ideal images, Ms. Prince will dedicate extra time to that patient and adapt her knowledge and technical skills to achieve the most favorable outcome. This is appreciated not only by the patient and patient’s accompanying family but also by the ordering clinician, who is now able to arrive at a confident diagnosis for the patient.”

“Lindsay consistently goes above and beyond in her role. Whether it’s staying late to ensure everything is in order, taking on additional responsibilities without hesitation, or offering support to her colleagues during busy periods, she is always ready to give more to ensure the success of her team and the clinics she manages. Her work ethic and leadership set an example for all, and she truly represents the values and mission of our department.”

“Lindsay provides outstanding service to students, staff, academic personnel, volunteers, visitors, and university clientele by organizing our clinic in such a way that it is welcoming to all who come.”

“Sandra is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable providers at our clinic. As a primary care provider, especially on a college campus, she sees an array of different concerns daily. Despite it all, I have never seen her waver. She always knows just what to do or prescribe, and she communicates it to the patient in a manner that provides instant comfort and relief. I often witness other providers seek her advice on a particular case, and she never fails to provide them with the information necessary to treat their patient.”

“Sandra sets a bar for our clinic that others try to meet. As Sandra’s supervisor for the last two years, I rely on her opinions because I know her keen observation skills will pick up on details that others may have missed. Sandra sits on multiple committees, leads our primary care multidisciplinary team and is a member of the interview staff for new provider hiring. These duties are not required for her position and demonstrate her willingness to go above and beyond her busy clinic obligations. Involvement in these groups, require a reliable and calm personality, steadfast in their commitment to themselves and the improvement of others in the work place. I can think of no other colleague who meets the definition of superior than Sandra Topp, and I enthusiastically support her nomination.”

“The woman was actively in labor and nobody was around to help. Christina was in her street clothes, got up and helped the woman deliver the baby. She cleaned and dried the baby, put him in the mother’s arms and ran mom and baby to the pediatric department. Christina was quick on her feet, handled a stressful situation calmly and without hesitation. She helped a patient in need even while off duty. She is an exemplary nurse and would help anyone that needs it. Other employees witnessing the event completely froze but Christina jumped into action. We are lucky to have her as a nurse in our organization.”

“What stands out most is Kyra’s willingness to be available whenever I have questions or face challenges. Her responsiveness, along with the resources she provides, has greatly aided me in accomplishing my tasks effectively. I’ve always found her to be patient and compassionate, creating a supportive environment where I feel comfortable seeking help.”

“During the time she was with the Physics Department, Kyra presented a calm and knowledgeable demeanor, which eased the burden on other staff and improved relations with the department’s customers. She covered the work that was previously done by three people by explaining the situation and setting timelines for delivery or resolution, and she met her deadlines.”

“Spencer’s extraordinary ability to manage complex and high-stakes tasks was vividly demonstrated when he handled multiple major proposals simultaneously, including an 11-million-dollar proposal that involved coordination with multiple institutions. His capability to function under pressure was further tested when he worked late hours to expedite the submission processes ahead of the deadline and the impending hurricane Helene; a heroic effort that significantly benefitted our department and demonstrated his unwavering dedication.”

“Piyush Chaudhari’s exceptional contributions have been pivotal to our team’s progress, especially during a period of significant transition when the IDR team faced leadership changes and vacancies in senior analyst roles.
