This program recognizes faculty and staff members who contribute outstanding and meritorious service, efficiency and/or economy, or have created an impact on the quality of life provided to students and employees. This program is designed to recognize outstanding faculty and staff for their dedication to their jobs and for going above and beyond to advance the mission of our great university and serve the community at-large.
Division-level award recipients receive cash awards of $200, then compete for university-level awards, which offer six $1,000 and nine $2,000 cash awards.

Nominees for the Rookie of the Year are newcomers who, having successfully passed their probationary period, have excelled and had a positive impact through their work early on in their role at UF. For this award, a newcomer is defined as someone who has been at UF for less than two years.
Nominations in this category are for a team of employees (maximum of six) who worked together to accomplish great things for the institution and its future. For this award, the employee listed as Nominee is considered the Team Lead and others are Team Members.
Nominations in this category reflect individuals whose exceptional performance, contributions, and successes took place over a longer span of time (minimum of three years). To be considered for this award, nominees should not have won a Superior Accomplishment Award in the last five years.
Nominations are based upon contributions during the last fiscal year (July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024), with the exception of nominations for Sustained Excellence. Click for a list of questions to ask.

All nominees must have been employed by the University for the full previous fiscal year (July 1 – June 30), with the exception of Rookie of the Year.
Nominees for Rookie of the Year must have successfully passed their probationary period.
All nominees must have been appointed on a minimum 75 percent or 3/4 work-time basis as a UF hourly/salaried employee (including UFF).
Nominees shall have accomplished noteworthy performance and have made a positive impact on the overall goals and objectives of the department. The committee will consider the following:

All individuals in departments and entities under the Chief Executive Officer of UF Health Shands Hospital, UF Health Jacksonville, University Florida Jacksonville Physicians, Inc., and all UF Health hospitals.

All schools, colleges, departments, and units under the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Division 4
All schools, departments, and units under the Vice President for Agriculture and Natural Resources (IFAS).
Division 5
All colleges, departments, and units under the Senior Vice President for Health Affairs.

All departments and units under the Vice President for Student Life.
