Voting

Employees are encouraged to vote during non-work hours. In emergency situations, one or two hours of administrative leave may be granted for voting with the approval of the immediate supervisor. Working at the polls during elections is not eligible for administrative leave, and employees may use accrued leave or leave without pay with supervisor approval.

Approval and Documentation

This type of administrative leave is approved by the department, but it is not mandatory. No documentation is required, but employees should obtain prior approval from their supervisor.
