An employee transferring to the University of Florida from an eligible institution, which includes another university in the Florida State University System, select State of Florida agencies, and Santa Fe College, can transfer up to 80 hours of vacation leave and 80 hours of sick leave. These transferred hours will be combined with any UF leave accruals upon separation and will be cashed out according to UF leave policies, based on credited years of service with UF.

State transfers are eligible to join UF’s Sick Leave Pool immediately. If interested, a membership application must be submitted within 30 days of the start date or during the October open enrollment period.
