“I am recommending Megan Johnson for the Superior Accomplishment Award. She serves in a leadership role as the Clinic Manager of the UF Health Family Medicine at Main Street Clinic within the Department of Community and Family Medicine. I have served as the Medical Director of this clinic since 2016and worked very closely with Megan last year, and thus, feel very qualified to comment on her performance. This clinic serves a challenging, underserved patient population that is disadvantaged by socioeconomic status, poor health literacy, and sometimes distrust of the medical system. Despite these challenges, Megan has helped this patient population and clinic to flourish. UF Health Family Medicine at MainStreet Clinic’s patient care quality outcomes have met or exceeded national benchmarks to exceed 75th percentile in most outcome measures, including improving influenza vaccination rates, which was a direct result of a new workflow process she put into place with the nursing staff using green cards.”

“She brought a tremendous depth of knowledge and experience that was invaluable, and an attitude and approach that kept us positive and enthusiastic. In addition to constantly working on improving protocols and methodology to make things run more efficiently to provide both better patient care and easier workability for our small animal clinicians and staff, she provided invaluable help on similar efforts for our equine hospital. Without prompting, she recognized some areas that we might benefit from using some tools available on our medical records system that I have been working with for years. We have implemented some of these and I can say some have been life-changing.”
“Several faculty veterinarians have stated that Megan is the best practice manager they have ever worked with. She has onboarded a completely new staff, overseen amazing growth of the hospital– to the point that we have expanded from 4 to 5doctorswithin two years of opening–and has a perpetually positive outlook. She has done all of this while we have been short other leaders for substantial periods of time and has continued to just make everything work. It’s hard to succinctly summarize Meghan’s awesomeness in one letter, though she has truly been our MVP over the last year and I could not think of a more deserving recipient.”

“Sandra is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable providers at our clinic. As a primary care provider, especially on a college campus, she sees an array of different concerns daily. Despite it all, I have never seen her waver. She always knows just what to do or prescribe, and she communicates it to the patient in a manner that provides instant comfort and relief. I often witness other providers seek her advice on a particular case, and she never fails to provide them with the information necessary to treat their patient.”
“Sandra sets a bar for our clinic that others try to meet. As Sandra’s supervisor for the last two years, I rely on her opinions because I know her keen observation skills will pick up on details that others may have missed. Sandra sits on multiple committees, leads our primary care multidisciplinary team and is a member of the interview staff for new provider hiring. These duties are not required for her position and demonstrate her willingness to go above and beyond her busy clinic obligations. University partnerships of this nature can only be sustained because they saw the value in what CAS does through Brittany’s efforts. This was also the result of her wise financial stewardship. “This team fostered a seamless, welcoming experience for our students and their families by using the tools at their fingertips to provide a resource that clearly labeled our move-in locations across campus, loading zones, high traffic areas, and parking locations. Their collaboration, technical expertise, and proactive approach significantly elevated the move-in experience, which serves over 9,000 students each August.”
“The team’s approach to this project was exemplary. They came with open minds, actively listened to feedback, and offered practical and creative solutions based on our needs and goals. Their responsiveness and willingness to adjust aspects of the map based on our suggestions ensured the final product was both user-friendly and highly effective.”

“Byron and Tommy have instituted a program where seasoned student employees mentor younger students to teach them the art and science of food safety and butchering. A student who works at the meat lab for 2.5-3 years will leave with overwhelming skill.”
“Byron and Tommy facilitate a fun atmosphere at the meat lab that has been very effective at bringing sheltered young employees “out of their shell”. Their training imparts accountability and dependability, yet an ability to not take yourself too seriously.”

“Over several months, Angelique and Troy worked tirelessly to develop a utility GIS map that integrated Revit models, a unique and challenging task that has brought significant value to the Health Science Center (HSC).”
“This project is a proof of concept that demonstrates how complex utility systems can be represented in GIS, offering the potential to replicate the model across other university buildings and systems. The result is an improved ability to monitor, maintain, and upgrade utilities campus-wide, making it easier to understand the infrastructure’s layout and performance.”

“As subject matter experts, both Dr. Stuart and Dr. Crandall were able to providerelevant examples of student experiences to help create realistic and practical illustrations of
signs & symptoms of student distress; as well as, strategies to help communicate with students and connect them with services or resources as needed.”
“Dr. Stuart, Dr. Crandall, and Brandon Telg worked quickly to produce GET811: Supporting Students in Distress and within six (6) months the new course was completed and released to the UF Campus via myTraining.”

“Providing a safer experience for the patients of UF Health broadens our continued commitment to outstanding patient care.”
“After Serious Patient Safety Events have been identified, it is incumbent upon a patient centered organization to aim to prevent similar occurrences from impacting other patients. At UF Health, this has historically been achieved through a Root Cause Analysis (RCA).”

“Today, we manage around 600 daily errors and are working on bringing that number even lower. This success is not individual but a result of the collective effort across all levels of support—from operations, through management, to the director and controller—working together as one JAX FSCM team.”
“[We gave UF] The ability to forecast, plan, and deal with timely errors ensures a strong relationship with UF Health Vendors to maintain a steady supply of goods and services needed for top patient care. The ability to observe and resolve errors quickly allows us monitor and reduce the risk of fraudulent invoicing, late payment fees, or credit holds.”

“[The team was] instrumental in planning and executing a large scale movement of multiple laboratories in an extremely short time frame. The difficulties were compounded by the need to facilitate having the laboratory moves completed in order for multiple faculty in the Department of Physiological Sciences to move from their location on the Basic Sciences Building in the Health Science Center to the Veterinary Academic/Administration (VAB) complex. Importantly, all this work was accomplished while these dedicated individuals continued to maintain an excellent standard of research productivity amid a significant level of stress and ‘controlled chaos’.”
“Amidst all the increased workload, this team was collegial, and their efforts made the move far less stressful for individuals at the college level as well as for departmental faculty and staff. This also was accomplished without impacting the normal productivity – they just made it work.”

“They collaborated to revise the university’s automated programs, ensuring minimal delays to students’ receipt of aid. While most schools struggled to make any payments—many unable to disburse funds at all—this team’s swift action allowed UF to distribute aid quickly. Their efforts ensured that year-over-year disbursements remained almost level, an unheard-of feat and one that
far surpassed the capabilities of many financial aid offices nationwide.”
“The team’s ability to implement solutions—such as the Gator Spirit Grant and their strategic communications outreach—not only allowed UF to weather the storm of FAFSA complications but also ensured long-term benefits for the university.”

“This team of Network Engineers accomplished a transformative upgrade to the University of Florida’s Backbone and Core network, a critical infrastructure enhancement that affected multiple key components.”
“The enhanced network, with its 4-fold increase in backbone capacity from 200G to 800G, significantly boosts UF’s ability to support cutting-edge, data-intensive research. Fields such as high-performance computing (HPC), genomics, artificial intelligence, and climate science, which rely on real-time processing of massive datasets, now benefit from a faster, more reliable network.”
