About Managers Cohort
The Managers Cohort program provides a unique opportunity for managers at the university to enhance their leadership skills in a supportive group setting with peers and expert facilitation.
Eligibility
Candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Current UF manager/supervisor, responsible for tasks such as giving feedback, approving leave, and conducting performance reviews for employees
- Support from immediate supervisor with protected time for program participation, satisfactory performance reviews, and attendance
- Willingness to adjust personal and professional calendar for workshops as scheduled
Curriculum Highlights
- Program structure focuses on UF’s key leadership competencies for success
- Individual 360-degree assessment for personalized development
- Monthly 1/2 day workshops from the “Managing at UF” courses will be provided specifically for this cohort.
Participation Fee
There is no fee to participate in this program.
Key Information
- The application process opens Spring of each year. Selection for the 2024-2025 cohort is now complete (program has reached capacity).
- This program will meet once or twice a month from September through May. Commitment to attending at least 12 out of the 15 scheduled workshops is expected.
- The format for this program will be hybrid, including some virtual workshops and many in person as well.
