The Division of Sponsored Programs and Contracts and Grants offer a variety of training and professional development opportunities that provide research administrators throughout the university with “a lifeline” to the research community.
RAFT Sponsored Programs Training Classes
RAFT Sponsored Programs training classes are designed for research administrators and other staff who support sponsored research and extension at UF. The series features monthly classes covering a range of topics across sponsored programs management. Enrollment is now available in the myTraining system.

RAFT forums cover special topics of interest to the grants community, while also providing an open channel for solutions, contacts, and information. No registration is required. If you can’t attend the RAFT Forum in person, watch online using the link just below.

RAFT Level One Cohort
The UF Research Administration and Financials Training (RAFT) Level One Cohort is intended for employees with 12 months or fewer of grants management experience. The cohort is a classroom series that provides a thorough introduction to all aspects of sponsored programs management at UF. In addition, the RAFT Level One Cohort is designed to foster peer relationships within the grants community. Each cohort is kept to a minimum number of participants to ensure networking and relationship building. Participants who successfully complete the series are awarded a certificate of completion.
